Adding price levels

Q: I receive the error "Price Level name already exists", but the name is not visible. What should I do?

A price level with the same name already exists in Factory, even if it isn't currently visible. To find it:

  1. Refresh the browser tab where Factory is open.

  2. Navigate to Sales > Price Level Manager.

  3. Use the Search field to look for the price level name being added.

If the price level is still not visible but the error persists, contact support@factory.app or send a message via the in-app Messenger for assistance.

Applying price levels to products

Q: A new Price Level was added, but it's not showing for products in the Product Catalogue. Why?

Newly created price levels are not automatically assigned to existing products in the Product Catalogue. To assign a new price level to an existing product:

  1. Refresh the tab where Factory is open.

  2. Go to Products > Product Catalogue and locate the product.

  3. Ensure I sell this item is ticked in the product settings.

  4. Click the dropdown arrow next to any displayed price level.

  5. Tick the newly added price level.

  6. Click anywhere on the white background, then select Save.

Q: A new Price Level includes a percentage increase on current prices. Can this be applied to all products in the Product Catalogue at once?

Yes. Product data can be exported from Factory and a formula applied in Excel or Google Sheets to update pricing by the desired percentage. To request the export, contact support@factory.app or send a message via the in-app Messenger.

Customer-specific pricing

Q: Only one Price Level appears when adding products to a Quote or Sales Order. Why?

A specific price level has been assigned to the customer linked to the quote or order, so only that level shows by default. To view all available price levels, tick Show all price levels when adding products.
