Catalogue management

Q: I accidentally deleted a product but the Undo button is no longer showing. Can it be recovered?

Yes. Deleted products can be restored by the support team. Send a list of the affected products to support@factory.app or via the in-app Messenger.

Q: After duplicating a product, it does not appear in the product list. What should I do?

Refresh the Product Catalogue page. The duplicated product will appear once the list reloads.

Q: Where can all Sales Orders that include a specific product or product kit be viewed?

Navigate to Products > Product Catalogue, open the relevant product or product kit, then select the Order History tab.

Q: Is there a way to hide the Item Number on a Quote PDF?

Yes. Open the product, select the dropdown next to the Item Number attribute, untick Quote PDF, and select Save.


Pricing

Q: I created a kit and want to set a price for the entire kit, but the total price field is uneditable. How can I fix this?

Standard Kits calculate pricing from the sum of their individual components, so the total price field stays locked. To set a single price for the kit as a whole, enable Use custom kit pricing when adding to order in the kit settings. This converts the kit into a Custom Kit and unlocks the total price field. Documents

Q: Can warranty documents or any other documents be automatically attached to a product or product kit when added to a Sales Order?

Yes. To set up auto-attach:

  1. Open the product or product kit and select the Collaborate tab.

  2. Click the paperclip icon (bottom-right), select the document to attach, then click Send.

  3. Hover over the attached document, click the three dots, select Auto attach to new orders, and choose whether the document attaches to Sales orders, Purchase orders, or both.


Stocktake and inventory

Q: Is it possible to export Stocktake information to an Excel or CSV file?

Self-service export is not currently available. The support team can generate a report containing current On Hand quantities for all stock-tracked products. To request one, contact support@factory.app or send a message via the in-app Messenger.

Q: Can the "On the Way" quantity for a product be updated manually?

No. The On the Way value is calculated automatically. It increases when a Purchase Order is submitted and decreases (with a corresponding increase to On Hand) when the Purchase Order is marked as received.


Features and access

Q: We use Flashings and saw functionality to add drawings during the demo, but it is not available in our account. Can this be enabled?

Yes. Contact support@factory.app or send a message via the in-app Messenger to enable Flashings on the account.
