Access and roles
Q: Who can access the Sales Orders page?
Access is available to users with the following roles:
Administrator
Power User
Standard User
Standard User No Invoicing
Standard User No Pricing
Q: Why is the option to add a Custom Column not available?
Only users with Administrator access can add Custom Columns. Check the current access level by selecting the avatar icon; the role appears below the user name.
Sales Orders page
Q: How can Archived Sales Orders or Cancelled/Archived Quotes be accessed?
Filter the Sales Orders page by status:
Click the filter icon.
Under the Where field, select
Status.Under the is field, select Archived.
Click
Apply.
Q: Why are Views created by colleagues not visible on the Sales Orders page?
Saved Views are personal to the user who created them. Each user only sees their own Views, which keeps each setup uncluttered by other people's filter and column combinations.
Q: How many Quotes or Sales Orders can be displayed on the Sales Orders page?
A maximum of 100 rows per page, which is the combined total of Quotes and Sales Orders displayed in the current view.
Managing Quotes and Sales Orders
Q: Can a Quote or Sales Order be deleted?
Deletion is not supported. Quotes and Sales Orders can be archived, or reused by changing the assigned customer.
Q: Can the numbering order of Quotes or Sales Orders be changed?
Yes. To update the starting number, contact support via support@factory.app or send a message via the in-app Messenger
Q: Will a duplicated Quote or Sales Order keep the same number?
No. A new unique number is automatically assigned to each duplicated Quote or Sales Order.
Documents and PDFs
Q: Can additional fields or custom information be added to PDF documents (Quote, Proforma Invoice, Invoice, Partial Invoice, Work Order, or Delivery Docket)?
Yes. Document layouts can be customised via Settings > Document templates. Administrator access is required.
Q: Why does the Preview / Print option not respond when selected?
The browser's pop-up blocker may be preventing the action. To resolve:
