Paying a Factory invoice online

For your customers: how to pay an invoice by card in under two minutes.

Your supplier uses Factory to send invoices. You can pay by card in under two minutes.

Open the invoice PDF or email and click View & Pay Invoice.

Check the invoice summary and click Pay Now.

Enter your card details on the secure checkout hosted by Stripe.

Confirm. You'll see "Invoice Already Paid" with a receipt to download. Stripe also emails you a receipt.

Accepted cards

Visa, Mastercard and American Express, including cards issued overseas. Apple Pay and Google Pay aren't available yet.

Fees

Australia and the United Kingdom: you pay the invoice amount only. No card fee is added.

New Zealand, the United States and Canada: a card fee is added at checkout to cover Stripe's processing fee, and you'll see it before you pay. The fee is calculated so your supplier receives the full invoice amount; you'll pay slightly more than Stripe's rate:

  • New Zealand: Stripe's rate is 2.65% + 30c. On a NZ$1,000 invoice, you pay NZ$1,027.53.

  • United States: Stripe's rate is 2.9% + 30¢. On a US$1,000 invoice, you pay US$1,030.18.

  • Canada: Stripe's rate is 2.9% + CA$0.30. On a CA$1,000 invoice, you pay CA$1,030.18.

Security

Your card details go straight to Stripe. Your supplier never sees them, and Factory never stores them.

Paying another way

Bank transfer still works. Use the details on your invoice.

If your payment fails

Try again or use another card. The invoice stays unpaid until a payment goes through.

Deposits and progress invoices

Each invoice is paid separately. A 50% deposit and a final balance are two invoices and two payments.
