Invoice Payments: overview

Get paid by card, straight from your Factory invoice.

Get paid by card, straight from your invoice

Invoice Payments lets your customers pay Factory invoices by card. They click View & Pay Invoice, pay on a secure checkout hosted by Stripe, and the invoice updates to Paid in Factory and syncs to your accounting package. No chasing, no manual entry.

Where it's available

Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada. Payments are taken in your company's currency. Your customers can pay from anywhere with Visa, Mastercard or American Express.

How it works

  1. Connect Stripe in Factory. It's a one time setup, about 10 minutes.

  2. Make sure the payment button is on your invoice template.

  3. Your customer opens the invoice and clicks View & Pay Invoice.

  4. They pay by card on the Stripe checkout.

  5. The invoice updates to Paid and the payment syncs to Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks.

  6. Stripe pays out to your bank, usually 2 to 3 business days after a payment. Your first payout takes longer, typically 7 to 14 days.

What it costs

Factory charges no setup or monthly fees for Invoice Payments. Each card payment carries a processing fee.

  • Australia and the UK: your customer pays the invoice amount only. The fee comes out of the payment before it reaches your bank.

  • New Zealand, the US and Canada: the fee is added at checkout and paid by your customer.

Where it works best

  • Deposits and progress invoices, so you get paid before you order material.

  • Smaller jobs.

  • One off and retail customers.

Bank transfer still works. Card is an extra option for your customers, not a replacement.
