Planner

Overview of the Planner: what you can do from the board, who can access it, and where to find each guide.

Overview

The Planner is where your jobs get allocated and planned. Jobs are scheduled to people across a Day, Week or Month calendar, so you can see who is on what, sequence work in the right order, and spot the gaps before they become a problem on the floor.

The board is built to be read without opening anything. Entries carry colour, so allocation and workflow stages show at a glance. Work that cannot start carries a red border and a reason, so a job waiting on materials or site access is visible to everyone planning around it.

What you can do from the Planner

  • Schedule an order to a team member and a time slot

  • See the whole team's week, or one day in detail, or a month at a time

  • Colour the board by who is doing the work or by where each job sits in the workflow

  • Flag work as blocked, with a reason, and mark it complete when it is done

  • Narrow the board to blocked, in progress or completed work in one click

  • Save a board setup under a name and share it with the team

  • Set working hours and choose what appears on each job card

  • Put meetings, training, maintenance and holidays on the same calendar as the jobs

Planner guides

The calendar itself. Day, Week and Month views, the Orders column, colour by assignee or workflow status, the Progress filter, and the working hours and card settings.

Save a board setup under a name and share it with the team. Saved views are how the Planner holds a setup between sessions, so this is the one to read if your filters are not sticking.

Put a job on the calendar, set its start and finish times, assign team members and labels, split it across more than one time slot, mark it complete, and flag it as blocked with a reason.

Add meetings, training, maintenance windows and holidays to the Planner without tying them to a sales order.

Who can use the Planner

Administrators, Power Users, the three Standard roles and Productivity users can open the Planner. Workflow Only, Deliveries Only and Time Tracking Only users cannot.

A few actions are held to Administrators and Power Users: the Planner Settings gear, and setting a colour on an individual job. Review user roles before granting access.
