Kiosk Settings

Enable Kiosk, choose which tracking modes are available, and set your auto sign-out and break options.

Overview

Kiosk Settings control how the shared device behaves for your team; whether Kiosk is switched on, which ways of tracking time appear on it, how breaks are handled, and when people are automatically signed out. Set these up before you pair a device so the Kiosk works the way your shop needs it to.

👥 Access permissions

  • Only Administrators and Power Users can change Kiosk Settings. Review user roles before granting access.

📍 Location in the app

  • Settings > Time Tracking > Kiosk

Enabling Kiosk

The Kiosk tab starts switched off. Turn on Enable Kiosk to switch it on. Once enabled, a pairing code appears that you'll use to link your device — see Setting Up & Pairing Your Kiosk for the full pairing steps.

Auto sign-out

Two settings control when a worker is signed out of the Kiosk, so it's ready for the next person:

Auto sign-out after clock on — after someone clocks on, the Kiosk counts down and automatically signs them out back to the worker list. You set how many seconds this takes. We recommend turning this on, so the next person doesn't have to sign anyone out before they can use the device.

Auto sign-out after inactivity — if a worker is signed in but hasn't done anything for a set time, the Kiosk signs them out. When the time is nearly up, a prompt appears so they can choose to stay signed in or sign out.

Breaks

Choose whether breaks are handled on the Kiosk. When this is on, workers can start and end their breaks directly on the shared device. When it's off, the break option won't appear on the Kiosk at all.

The breaks your team can pick from are the custom breaks you set up under Settings > Time Tracking in the general settings (for example, a lunch break or a 20-minute break). Each break carries its name and duration through to the Kiosk.

📝 Note

  • On the Kiosk, breaks are always started and ended manually by the worker. The "automatically deduct breaks" behaviour used elsewhere in time tracking does not apply to the Kiosk.

Tracking modes available on the Kiosk

Choose which ways of tracking time appear as tiles on the Kiosk:

  • Attendance — clocking on for general work that isn't tied to a specific order (for example, tidying the warehouse or general jobs around the factory).

  • Order tracking — clocking on to a specific job or order.

  • Manual time entry — adding time after the fact, rather than clocking on and off in the moment.

Turn on whichever modes you want your team to use. Only the modes you enable will show on the Kiosk.

PINs are always required on the Kiosk

Everyone using the Kiosk signs in with a PIN — this is built in and can't be turned off for the Kiosk. To require PINs across time tracking generally (including the app), turn on require PINs when clocking on and off under Settings > Time Tracking. See Setting Up & Pairing Your Kiosk for how your team adds and manages their PINs.
