Kiosk Breaks, Switching Jobs & Your Time Records

Taking breaks, switching between jobs, adding manual time, and reviewing your logged hours from the Kiosk.

Overview

Beyond clocking on and off, the Kiosk lets you take breaks, move from one job to another, add time you forgot to log, and check your own hours. This article covers each of those.

📍 Where to find it

  • On your shared device, at kiosk.factory.app

Taking a break

If your shop has breaks switched on for the Kiosk, you'll see a break option once you're clocked on.

Tap Start Break to open the list of your company's breaks, each showing its name and length. Pick one and your dashboard switches to "You're on break" with a live countdown of the time remaining. When you're ready, tap End Break and you'll get a "Welcome back" confirmation.

You stay clocked on the whole time you're on a break — your session keeps running in the background, and the break is recorded against your time.

📝 Note

  • Breaks on the Kiosk are always started and ended manually — you decide when to start and stop them.

Switching jobs

This section only applies if your shop has the "Prevent users from clocking onto multiple orders at the same time" rule switched on (see below). When that setting is on, a worker can only be clocked onto one order at a time, so switching is how you move between jobs. If the setting is off, you can simply clock on to another job without switching.

When the rule is on and you're already clocked onto a job, your dashboard shows a Switch Job / Order tile. Tap it to open the order picker in switch mode ("Switch to another order"). Your current job is greyed out and marked "Already clocked on". Expand any other order and choose Switch to full order.

The switch happens in one action — you'll see "You switched jobs at {time}", and your previous job is automatically clocked off. You end up with exactly one active session, now on the new order.

Adding manual time

If you forgot to clock on and off in the moment, you can add the time after the fact — as long as your shop has manual time entry switched on.

Tap Add Manual Time, then:

  1. Choose general attendance or a specific job / order.

  2. Pick the date.

  3. Enter the time either by time (a start and end time) or by total hours.

  4. Optionally add a break — you can add more than one.

  5. Submit.

📝 Note

  • If your shop requires an order number when adding a time entry, you'll be asked to select the order before you can continue.

Reviewing your own time records

From your profile you can open My Time Records — a read-only view of your own clock events, grouped by date, with a totals card at the top. Switch between Today, Last Week, Last 2 Weeks, or a Custom date range to see when you clocked on and off and how much time you logged.
