Custom Columns are flexible fields that can be added to display additional information relevant to the business.

πŸ—’οΈ Note: only Administrator can add custom columns. Please review the roles for each user type prior to commencing.


Custom Columns Types

Custom Columns can be set as Amount ($), Checkbox, Date and Time Picker, Date Picker, Email, Number, Phone, Text, or URL. These fields can appear on the Order Details page and in the customer's online (Order Confirmation view).


Amount ($)

Ideal for showing additional costs or discounts.

πŸ—’οΈ Note: there is an option to have no decimals or to include up to 4 decimal places.


Checkbox

Ideal for simple Yes/No or Completed/Not Completed indicators.


Date and Time Picker

Ideal for scheduling and deadline-related information.

  • Date format can be changed to any of the following options:

Date Picker

Ideal for specific date information (e.g. delivered date or design reviewed).

πŸ—’οΈ Note: Date format can be changed to any of the following options:


Email

Ideal for alternate contact or notification address to include.


Number

Ideal for numeric data that does not require dollar sign.

πŸ—’οΈ Note: there is an option to have no decimals or to include up to 4 decimal places.


Phone

Ideal for storing secondary contact number.


Text

Ideal for Project or Job name or any customer-spefic information.


URL

Ideal for adding links to external websites, documents, product pages, or map locations.


Adding custom columns (can be created by Administrators only)

  • Select the column picker icon

  • Click Add custom column

  • Enter a column name

  • Select the column type

  • Choose where the column will be displayed by toggling on or off

  • Save

πŸ—’οΈ Notes:

  • Newly added custom columns appear at the end of the Dynamic Table

  • Custom columns added by an Administrator will be visible to all users who have access to the Sales Order main page

  • Each row in a custom column can be updated directly on the Sales Orders main page. Click the row next to an order, enter the details, then click outside the text box to save.


Editing custom columns

Right-clicking a custom column opens options to:

  • Edit (column name and display settings)

  • Delete

  • Sort column

  • Hide column

  • Move to start

  • Move to end

πŸ—’οΈ Note:

  • If a custom column is hidden, it will still be available through the column picker icon

  • If a custom column type needs to be changed, Administrators can simply delete the existing custom column and add a new one with the correct column type.
