Fees Explained

Invoice Payments is free for Factory customers to use. There are no setup fees, monthly fees, or fees charged to you per transaction.

Who Pays the Fee?

Your customer pays a processing fee of 1.6% + 30c per transaction. This is Stripe's standard card processing fee. It is added at the point of payment and paid by your customer. You receive the full invoice amount in your bank account.

πŸ“ŒExample:

Invoice total: $1,000.00

Stripe fee paid by your customer: $16.30 (1.6% + 30c)

Total your customer pays: $1,016.30

Amount deposited into your bank account: $1,000.00

What if a Customer Doesn't Want to Pay the Fee?

That's fine. Online payment is optional on every invoice. Customers who prefer not to pay the card fee can pay by bank transfer as they always have. Enabling Invoice Payments gives your customers a choice β€” it doesn't remove the bank transfer option.

Invoice amount limits

Transaction limits are set by Stripe, not Factory. The minimum is $0.50 AUD. The maximum is typically up to $1,000,000 AUD for established accounts. New accounts often start at $50,000–$100,000 and increase automatically as you process more payments.
