Overview
When only some of a quote's line items are approved by the customer, splitting moves the approved portion into a new quote so it can proceed to order without recreating the work or losing the link to the original. The original quote stays intact, and the two quotes are linked automatically for traceability.
👥 Access Permissions
Only users with permission to access Sales Orders can split quotes. Review user roles before granting access.

Global Search > search and select a quote >
OptionsSales>Sales Orders> select a quote >OptionsSales>Customers> select a customer > search and select a quote >Options
Split a quote
Ensure the quote is not in Draft status.
Go to
Options>Split Order.Tick the box next to each line item to include in the split. Adjust quantities as needed.
Click
Split Order, then confirm in the pop-up.
📝Notes
The split quote receives a new quote number and is set to Draft status.
Contact details are copied from the original quote and can be edited on the new quote as required.
Locate the split quote
Open the original quote and select the
Linked Orderstab. The split quote appears in the list.

The link between the original quote and the split quote is created automatically and stays in place for future reference.
