Common questions about managing Price Level in Factory.

Updated this week

Q: Who can access the Price Level Manager page?

  • Administrator

  • Power User

  • Standard User

  • Standard User No Invoicing

Q: I receive the error โ€œPrice Level name already existsโ€, but the name is not visible. What should be done?

A: This error indicates that a Price Level with the same name already exists in Factory, even if it is not currently visible. Follow these steps to check:

  1. Refresh the browser tab where Factory is open.

  2. Navigate to Sales > Price Level Manager.

  3. Use the Search field to look for the Price Level name being added.

If the Price Level is still not visible but the error persists, contact support at support@factory.app or send a message via the Messenger within Factory for further assistance.

Q: A new Price Level was added, but itโ€™s not showing for products in the Product Catalogue. Why?

A: Newly created Price Levels are not automatically assigned to existing Products in Product Catalogue. To assign a new Price Level to an existing Product:

  • Refresh the tab where Factory is open

  • Go to Products > Product Catalogue

  • Search for or locate the required Product

  • Ensure I buy this item is ticked in the Product Settings

  • Click the dropdown arrow next to any displayed Price Level

  • Tick the newly added Price Level

  • Click anywhere on the white background, then select Save.

Q: Only one Price Level appears when adding Products to a Quote or Sales Order. Why?

A: This happens because a specific price level has been assigned to the customer linked to the quote or order. To view all available price levels, simply tick Show all price levels when adding products.

Q: A new Price Level includes a percentage increase on current prices. Can this be applied to all products in the Product Catalogue?

A: Yes. Product data can be exported, and a formula can be applied in Excel or Google Sheets to update pricing based on a specific percentage increase. To proceed, send the required details to support@factory.app or send a message via the Messenger within Factory.
