Manage users, roles, and permissions within the account

Overview

User Access Management (UAM) is used to manage team access, including adding, editing, disabling, and deleting users.

Key Features

The Team page provides tools to manage and maintain user access.

Search

Quickly locate team members by name or email using the search bar.


Show inactive team members

Enable this option to display users who have been disabled or are no longer active.


Add team member

Select Add team member to create a new user. You can choose from:

  • Standard team member: A team member that can login to Factory.

  • Assignee team member: A team member that can be assigned to orders, but cannot login to Factory.

  • Assignee team members can also be used for services or production resources such as fabrication, powder coating, or cutting.


Team member list

The list displays all users and key account information:

  • Name: The name of the team member.

  • Email: The email address used to invite the user (applicable to Standard Team Members).

  • Role: The role assigned to the team member, which determines their access and permissions.

  • Type: Indicates whether the user is a Standard Team Member or an Assignee Team Member.

  • Status: Shows whether the user is Active or Disabled.

  • Last signed in: Displays the most recent date the user signed in to Factory.

  • Team members are displayed in alphabetical order by first name


Actions menu (โ‹ฎ)

Select the three dots (โ‹ฎ) next to a team member to access management options:

  • Edit: Update user details and settings

  • Disabled: Revoke access while keeping the user as inactive in the system

  • Delete: Permanently remove the user from the system


Adding / Setting Up a New Team Member

Add a Standard Team Member

  1. Select Add team member > Standard team member.

  2. Enter the email address and press Enter.

  3. Select a role from the Invite as dropdown.

  4. Select Send invite.

๐Ÿ“Notes

  • The Invite via email link is valid for 24 hours.

  • The Invite via link is valid for 30 days.

  • Expired invites can be reissued by an Administrator.

  • Invites can be resent if access is still required.

  • Check both Inbox and Junk/Spam folders for the invitation email.

  • Once accepted, the user is added to the subscription as an active team member.


Add a Assignee Team Member

  1. Select Add team member > Assignee team member.

  2. Enter:

    1. First name

    1. Last name

    2. Hourly rate (Cost) (if required)

    3. Hourly rate (Charged) (if required)

    4. 4-digit PIN for clocking on/off orders

  3. Select Add.


Editing a Team Member

Select the actions menu (โ‹ฎ) next to a team member to edit details.

Standard Team Member โ€“ Editable Fields

  • Accounting package employee

  • Hourly rate (Cost)

  • Hours rate (Charged)

  • Default pay rate

  • Select Save to apply changes.


Assignee Team Member โ€“ Editable Fields

  • First name (this is a mandatory field)

  • Last name

  • Accounting package employee

  • Hourly rate (Cost)

  • Hours rate (Charged)

  • Default pay rate

  • PIN

Disabling a Team Member

Disabling a user removes their login access while keeping their record in the system as Inactive.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip

  • Use this option when access needs to be temporarily removed.


Deleting a Team Member

Deleting a user permanently removes them from Factory and revokes all access.

โœ‹ Warning

  • This action cannot be undone. A confirmation prompt will appear before deletion.


Changing the role of a Standard Team Member

  1. Locate the user in the Team list.

  2. Select the Role dropdown.

  3. Choose the required role.
